One woman claims a Clintonnursing home's bad plumbing makes forunlivable conditions there.
Photos obtained by 3 On Your Side show sewageoverflowing from a toilet in the facility and water damage to one person's room.
"These are elderly people who can't care for themselves, of course. That's why they're there," said the woman, who asked not to be identified.
She said she has a close relative who lives at the Clinton Health Care facility on Pinehaven Drive.
She saidthe photoscame from an employee there.
"This was an issue a month ago. And it backed up, and it's horrible. You ask about it, and they tell you it's gonna be fixed," the woman said.
Now the contaminated water is going into her relative's room.
When she asks about it, she gets the same response from management.
"They give you the script. They say we're working on it, but you know, this is a health issue," the woman said. "Here we are with elderly people that can't speak for themselves, and they're the ones that have to live in that situation."
We contacted Clinton Health Care for a response.
An employee said shewasn't at liberty to talk about the plumbing issues, then decided to elaborate on the repairs.
"We've contacted a plumber to get it taken care of. But it just happened [Sunday]," the employee said. "It did not happen a month ago. That's incorrect."
She referred all other questions to the facility's administrator.
